Welcome to the online home of the Cavendish Cavaliers, probably Devon's worst cricket club.
Well, we say that, but we're also one of the best. We're not the greatest of players, but we play with a smile on our faces at all times, and make up for our lack of ability with a huge amount of enthusiasm for and enjoyment of the game. All of us are affiliated in some way with the Cavendish Hotel in Torquay (shameless plug) and are all members of the family who own it, current or ex-employees, or friends of people who are.
On this site, you'll find match reports and photos of us in action, player profiles and averages and contact details for any clubs who want to give us a game. Please get in touch if you have a gap in your fixture list; we're always glad of a game, midweek or weekend, and we'll make sure we have a good spend in the clubhouse after the match.
We support a wonderful charity called Cricket Without Boundaries, and we'd be delighted if you would support it too through our Justgiving page. We feel that cricket can make a positive difference to people's lives; you can find out more on our 'About' page.
We're currently looking for opponents keen to give us a good thrashing during the 2009 season. Given reasonable notice, we're available just about any time, even midweek daytimes. If you'd like to find out how bad we really are, drop me a line.

On Saturday 30th August, we took on a team put together by the Dartmoor Pony Training Centre as part of their fundraising day. It was great fun, and a very close result. To see who won it, read the match report.
On Sunday 10th August, we played a hastily-arranged game against DOE Cavaliers after our respective matches were cancelled. To find out how we got on—as if you can't guess—read our latest match report.
On 10th July 2008, we played our first game against the Shaldon Optimists. We now have our first match report online, as well as a cracking photo gallery of the day.
